Haifa Massacre
On April 22, 1948, Zionist settlers attacked the city of Haifa in the middle of the night, occupied it, and killed a large number of its residents. The remaining unarmed Palestinian Arabs hurried to escape through the city's port, but the Jews followed them and opened fire. The toll of this massacre was more than 150 killed and 40 wounded.
