Nusseirat and Bureij camps Massacre

The Israeli occupation forces carried out a massacre in the Gaza Strip on the morning of Sunday, March 7, 2004, resulting in the death of 15 martyrs, including three children, and the injury of more than 180, during an incursion in the central Gaza Strip.

The incursion began at dawn when Israeli special units attempted to infiltrate the outskirts of the Nusseirat and Bureij camps. However, their discovery led tanks to enter the area, where they began searching homes under the pretext of looking for wanted individuals. During the operation, five Palestinians were killed by soldiers' bullets, while the rest were killed by gunfire from Apache helicopters, which began firing at anything moving.

The massacre occurred three weeks after the Shaja'iya neighborhood massacre, making it the second-largest massacre since the announcement of the 'Disengagement Plan.
