Jabalia Refugee Camp Massacre

A new massacre occurred in the town and refugee camp of Jabalia in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 11 Palestinians and the injury of 140 others. The Israeli occupation forces carried out the attack using a vindictive extermination approach, employing incendiary and nail bombs against civilian gatherings.

The Israeli forces invaded Jabalia camp in the early hours of Thursday, March 6, 2003, accompanied by at least 40 tanks and military vehicles, and with air cover from Apache helicopters. They conducted intense shelling of homes with missiles, artillery shells, and heavy machine guns, leading to a power outage in northern Gaza, including Jabalia. The shelling resulted in the martyrdom of 3 Palestinians and the injury of 10 others.

Israeli tanks also fired several artillery shells at a large crowd of civilians, journalists, and Palestinian firefighters near the camp, causing the martyrdom of 8 individuals and injuring more than 90.
